Short CV

Research Interest

My name is Lukas Arda and I am a Master's student in the DMGW group. My research is driven by a deep curiosity about gravity, the fundamental force shaping the universe’s current evolution. I am interested in leveraging gravitational waves to to refine our understanding of astrophysics as well as fundamental physics. This includes investigating massive objects and their astrophysics, as well as the behaviour of General Relativity in the strong-field regime, potentially testing for modifications in the theory. A key aspect of my work is leveraging novel machine-based approaches to the computationally expensive tasks of modelling and analysing gravitational wave data. Aside from my research in theoretical physics, I am leading a beginner lab course at the Insitute Of Physics.
