Cosmology

This course provides and introduction into cosmology. Please remember to register to the Olat course, and sign into a tutorial until Tuesday, 20 April, 2026, 09.00!
The first lecture takes place on Tuesday, 14 April, 2026, 11.45 - 14.00 in the room Phys __.102 (Physics building).

Format: The lecture will be given in German and will take place in presence.

Course organisation

Format of the lecture

  • The lecture will take place in presence in the room Phys __.102 in the Physics building. However, the lectures will be recorded — the videos will be available in the corresponding OLAT subdirectory.

Communication between lecturer(s), tutors and students

  • Whenever you have any questions regarding the organization or the course material, please do not hesitate to approach your tutor or Prof. Sagunski, and feel free to ask them or write them an email!

Participation & Tasks (Studienleistung)

  • You will have a weekly exercise sheet (11 in total). The solutions to the exercises have to be prepared (but not handed in) for the tutorial, during which they will be discussed. All exercises from the 11 sheets consitute relevant material for the exams.
    To qualify for the exam, you need to collect at least 14 points: you get 1 point for attending a tutorial, and 2 points if you present your solutions in the tutorial. As an example, since we have 12 dates for the tutorials, you may collect 14 points by attending every tutorial and presenting your solution once.

Examination (Prüfungsleistung)

  • There will be a 90-minutes long written final exam. There will be two possible dates, namely 20 July, 2026, and 30 September, 2026, both from 13.00 to 14.30. Please make sure to bring your Student ID Card! Only students fulfilling the above criteria (tba) are eligible to register for the exam.
